Hi, I’m Karl.

And I’m reconnecting a divided world.

Born in Canada, raised in Australia, and thanks to a twenty-five year career in business I’ve lived in eleven cities, in nine countries, in Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, and the US.

The biggest lesson from my global nomadic life is this; we have so much more that connects us, than divides us.

When my life came crashing down, and I lost nearly everything, I had an epiphany—that I needed to be of service.

I wrote an award-winning book about my divorce and the journey it set me on to figure myself out, a riches to rags rollercoaster from LA to Berlin—How To Burn A Rainbow.

After that I asked myself, what do I care about more than anything else? And the answer that came was this—reconnecting a divided world.

So that’s what I do on my Substack “Undividing” every week.

How to Burn a Rainbow: My Gay Marriage Didn’t Make Me Whole, My Divorce Did

The #1 ranked new release on Amazon on the day of its release.

Winner of best LGBTQ+ Memoir at Goodreads’s Reader’s Favorite Awards and Best Independent Book Awards.

A riveting riches-to-rags and back again story of Karl’s quest to find himself, HTBAR is equal parts how-to, drama, self-help, spiritual guide, relationship advice, essay and analysis, and pop culture. Not to mention an incredible example of connection and how the compiled wisdom of over 100 people propelled one human on their journey.
